Last fall, students in the Legal Innovation and Technology Clinic built 8 new online guided interviews to help people complete court forms and form letters for landlord-tenant issues, disability accommodations, immigration, and appeals:

Students worked with the Massachusetts Law Reform Institute/Mass Legal Help, HOME Line, and the Massachusetts Trial and Appeals Courts.
In the LIT Clinic, students engage in high-level legal problem solving under the supervision of LIT Lab staff. They research the legal and procedural context for each form, then learn to use Docassemble and the LIT Lab’s Document Assembly Assembly Line tools and resources to build online guided interviews that help people complete and file court forms and other legal documents.
Students’ completed interviews are published on Court Forms Online.
Currently, our students are working on more complex projects in close collaboration with clients like the Massachusetts Trial Court, the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe, and other Suffolk Law clinics, on interviews that should be published in the spring or summer.
